We are saying goodbye to the long days of summer and saying hello to a new season (Football! Falling leaves! Pumpkin spice everything!). But not everyone is in a season of celebration. Many of us are hurting—experiencing tough seasons of stress, worry, pain, or loneliness.

Where do we find comfort when we hurt? In our hope in God! Psalm 33:22 says, “Let your steadfast love, O Lord, be upon us, even as we hope in you.”

Your Father God loves you and is for you, orchestrating your life for His purpose and your good.

Hope for the Hurting Mom

That’s why our theme for September and October is hope. Our writers will take you through their personal times of suffering and sadness, of loss and longing. But each one found hope. And you can too.

Our prayer for you during this series is that you will trust in the God of hope.

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.” (Romans 15:13)

As Hannah hoped for a child, as Ruth hoped for a kinsman redeemer, as the woman at the well hoped for acceptance and love, we want our stories to point you to the One we can truly put our hope in.

We look forward to all we’ll learn together and to hearing your own stories of finding hope as you share in the comments and on our social media pages!
