The holy place where moms of boys in crisis are lifted up to the King of kings and Lord of lords. Read their stories and then pour out your prayers over them in the comments. Each will be looking and sensing the very presence of Jesus Himself as they read your petitions and request on their behalf.
Laura Groves
UPDATE (1/8/12): Andrew Groves will have another surgery tomorrow, so prayers would be appreciated. Doctors are pleased with his progress.
*****
Laura’s son was hit head-on Friday morning in a serious vehicle accident. The emergency responders didn’t expect to find him alive in the car, but he is (Praise God!). He has extensive leg injuries and has already had one surgery…probably more will be needed. Laura says he is in a lot of pain and asks that we pray for his relief, as well as covering for the family as everyone tries to juggle job responsibilities and caring for him.
Laura is a MOB writer. Please leave a written prayer for her and her family in the comments.

Stephanie Bowman
UPDATE: I (Brooke) spoke to Stephanie just a few minutes ago and I’m happy to report that her spirits are high! She’s praising God for His provision and protection and thanks everyone for their prayers and encouragement. The house is very damaged (kitchen mostly melted) and they won’t know if it’s salvageable until the insurance company comes. The fire started when a bathroom heater was accidentally turned on and the clothing in the clothes hamper (in the bathroom) caught on fire. Stephanie says the biggest praise is that no one in the family suffered any harm at all. We’re certainly praising God with her for that!
There are a few specific things she’s asking for prayer for:
- Grace and guidance from God in the big decisions they’ll have to make in the near future
- Favor with the insurance company
- A local home has been offered to them for temporary housing. Pray for favor in this process
- Stephanie is emotionally exhausted. Pray for strength and clarity for her and the family
- Stephanie’s husband’s grandmother also passed away last night (not fire-related). They have NOT told the children yet. Please pray for the children as they share more trauma with them and then head to the funeral.
- They do NOT need any more clothing at this point.
Erin and I hope to share specific ways you can come alongside this precious family for you soon.

Stephanie is one of our own M.O.B. Society writers. She’s been with us since the beginning and this morning she and her family lost their home in a fire. The most we know right now is that her three sons, little girl and husband are all safe. We have heard, and will confirm later, that a family dog was lost. Please leave written prayers here for Stephanie and her family…a place where they can come to be lifted up and encouraged as the rebuilding begins.
We will add more specifics as we have them.

Dana lost her 22 month old son, Mattias, December 12, 2010. We don’t know any details yet, or what the family might need other than our prayers, but we humbly ask that you leave your written prayers here for Dana, a place where she can come for strength in the days ahead. We will update as we have more information.

Specific Needs
- Amy needs options for insurance. Her husband stayed home with the boys while Amy worked (& supplied insurance) and now she feels God calling her to be home while He provides for her as her husband.
