Reaching the hearts of boys for the Gospel & preparing a generation of men to love the Lord
From our crazy home to yours!
MERRY CHRISTMAS!
I am so blessed by this group!
I sit and I am in awe.
I hold his little hands.
Rub his tiny feet.
I watch his chest move as he breaths while sleeping.
I look at the veins that are helping give him life.
I watch as he makes faces while he sleeps.
Frowns to smiles.
Seeing someone so small, and so perfectly made!
I am in awe.
In awe of God’s creation.
I pray while we snuggle.
I pray for him, that he will grow to be a man after God’s own heart.
That he will be a leader.
That he will he will make God the center of his life.
I pray this for all of my kids. Over and over again.
Let’s keep praying for our children!
We welcomed little Gideon to the family on Oct 13, 2011. He was born 4 1/2 weeks early. Other than being small, he is doing great! I praise God for his protection over myself and over Gideon. Another little boy for the MOB society!
We are so blessed!
“Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, the fruit of the womb a reward.”
Psalm 127:3
DS 8 “Mommy, I can’t wait until Sunday!”
Me- “Why is that?”
DS – ” So I can praise and worship the Lord again!”

PAUSE!!!!!
Praise the Lord again? He thinks we only worship on Sundays? OUCH!!!!!
Are they seeing me worship on other days of the week?
Giving thanks when I am folding clothes? Washing dishes? Sweeping the floors? Teaching?
What do they see as my priorities?
The computer? Reading a book?
Are we teaching them that we can worship during the week?
Are we showing them how to worship?
“Oh give thanks to the LORD, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever!” Psalm 107:1 (esv)

Don’t forget to mark your calendars for Saturdays in November as The MOB Society joins the MOD Squad for an exclusive series, Hope for the Weary Mom!
I cry.
They cry.
I complain.
They complain.
I get upset.
They get upset.
What kind of example am I? They are seeing a mother who complains, and cries as of late. I had to take a time out and noticed that they were acting the same way.
We teach them about having a happy heart!
Where were these happy hearts?
How am I to teach about having a happy heart when I don’t have one? Talk about a slap in the face.
My heart aches. To know that I am not being a good example. I cry to the Lord for His help. Things that are going on in our life at the moment may not be convenient for us BUT it is the season of life we are in at the moment. A season that has been ordained by God.
“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.”
Jeremiah 29:11
A season that, even though it’s hard, brings glory to the Lord.
They need to see God’s hand in this. I need to be teaching them about the glory of God through this trail.
“And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.”
Romans 8:28
Instead of complaining about a situation, take the situation and show them God.
Look for those teaching moments.
“Search me, O God, and know my heart!
Try me and know my thoughts!
And see if there be any grievous way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting!”
Psalm 139:23&24
When things don’t go OUR way, how do our kids see us respond?
