We have Plant Grown Up, but we wanted to finish up Our 24 Family Ways (from Whole Hearted Ministries), first. I cannot wait to dig into Plants Grown up. Our 24 Family was has been a great study. It studies a character quality each week – This week is patience. Our memory scripture is Prov 16:32 – He who is slow to anger is better than the mighty, and he who rules his spirit than he who captures a city. I like the format – 6 days a week. 1 Day of introduction with definitions, and then a practical real life situation, then 5 days of starter questions, scripture, scripture discussion and prayer. It has been a great time of learning for our family.

I don’t have that book, but it sounds wonderful. I think I’m going to put it on my Christmas list. My boys are older (JR Hi and high school), so raising them now looks different than it did when they were little. We used to make the things King David would have made (homemade slingshot–it didn’t really shoot, they just wanted to see what it looked like–and they broke after the first use:) and do the things Moses did (wandered the wilderness, which was our way of hiking–although we did get lost a few times:).

Now we work on connecting with them through more grown-up avenues. I’d love to hear some ideas of what to do with bigger guys. They still love to DO the Bible (vs just listening to me talk).

Looking forward to reading the posts. . .

My boy is 10 and I can’t wait to get into this with him- and maybe start something at our church. I am just so excited to stumble onto this book. Thanks so much for what you guys are doing!!!
